What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

Over the Thanksgiving weekend I do not have very many plans except for eating dinner with my family. I am working a lot and my mom and sisters will want to do a of of shopping Friday.  Me and my brother will probably play football, normally we would go to my cousins house in Illinois but this year we are staying home.

Go out and look up a what all goes on a resume website. What can you find? Include an example image if possible.

When I looked up what was a resume website I found that it was basically a resume on a website instead of on paper. What I found with resume websites is that they can be much more interactive and they can show a wider range of achievements and things you have done. I also found that with an online website You can also make it very easily accessible buy everyone.

Tuesday November 18th

Define 'User Experience'. What does it mean and how does it relate to web design?

User experience is a persons behaviors,  attitudes, and emotions about using a particular product, system or service. I think this relates to web design because you need a lot of experience if your going to want to be good at the job. Also in the real world you will need preview experience with your job. all these so you can make the service appealing to the viewer.

I think that this quote relates to web design because it shows the many layers of code and designing  that go into making a website. It is especially talking about the html part because that is not seen but it makes everything work the way its supposed to and it controls everything.

Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.

At first when I came into this class I had no idea even what web design was, now i know how to build a whole new website from scratch. I have learned how to write HTML and put that together with CSS to make a functioning and good looking website. I have also been practicing learning how to problem solve with a computer learning about different tools in the computer.

On Friday i was gone from school all day to got o the cross country state meet, it was very exciting and we ended up winning the meet and taking first at state. then later that night is was Halloween so my friends and I hung out and went to buffalo wild wings. on Saturday me and a group of my friends went to play baseball at the high school, this was very fun. On Sunday I worked and did homework.

I did not do much this weekend, On Friday I hangout with some of my friends and went to the football game. On Saturday I again hung out with friends and watched football games. On Sunday I worked and did homework. That is all that happened over my weekend.

Friday, October 17th

What kind of background do you have with Photoshop? Have you used it before? What other types of design and editing software have you used before? Explain.

The only thing I know about Photoshop is that you can use it to edit pictures and change them in some way. i have never been on or used Photoshop before so I don't know what all it can do. I have seen pictures that are photoshoped and I can tell when a picture has been poorly photoshoped but that is all I know.

The perfect curriculum for a school would be to teach every kid the subjects that are needed in life and in there career field. This is not always possible because the kids don't know what they want to be when they grow up. but if they all knew exactly what they were going into they could take classes in school that offered them a chance to study what they like. The other thing i would change iss to let students have more free time with there schedule to make school fun for them.

The following article was in the September issue of The Tiger Print. Read the article (even if you already have) and respond to it below. What do you think? Do you agree? Disagree? Consider all perspectives of the article while you respond.

I think that this article has a good point if girls want to wear something to school because they like it they should be able to wear it. but i think at some point though there should be a line of whats inappropriate for you to wear. From a girls standpoint i would be all in favor of this because if you want to wear something you like you should be able to wear it without getting comments from techers.

Over this past weekend I had a cross country race, hung out with friends, worked and watched sporting events. On Saturday morning I had a cross country race at Ray-Pec in Missouri. After that I hung out with some of my friends and me and my family went to Oklahoma Joe's. On Sunday I went to work in the morning. I got home right in time to watch the Chiefs game, then the Royals game. My favorite team is usually the Chiefs but the royals are so exciting to watch its hard to choose.

Last weekend i did not do to much, but some of the things I did do included going to a cross country meet, working, and hanging out with friends. I had my cross country meet on Saturday, I had to get up very early because we had to get on the bus and drive to Lawrence for the first race at 8 o'clock. My race was at 9:30. We stayed there most of the day, it wasn't until 4 pm that we got home. After that I hung out with friends and went to sleep. On Sunday i worked for a couple hours, did homework and then went to sleep.

Over the past weekend I did not do anything really exciting. On Saturday I had a cross country meet in the morning and went to see the movie The Maze Runner in the evening. I thought this was a pretty good movie, I had read the book before and was wondering if the movie was anything like the book, and it was. On Sunday I watched football and went to work. I always like to watch football on Sundays especially when the chiefs are playing.

Friday, September 19th

Now that you are several weeks in to this class and have coded one (super small) website, what do you think? What are your thoughts on web design? Is it what you thought it would be? Is it better? Worse? What's your favorite part? What's your least favorite part? Explain.

Now that I have been in Web Design for a couple of weeks I have learned a lot about what Web Design is, i thought that it would be more like when you have a template and you fill it out to make a website, but instead your stating from scratch with HTML and building the entire thing. the only thing I really don't like about it so far is coding each and everything with HTML and CSS. I just find this repetitive and boring. My favorite part so far about Web Design is the completed project, I like to see the finished project and how it all fit together.

What is the importance of deadlines? How do high school deadlines reflect or simulate "real world" experience? Give an example of when you met or or didn't meet a deadline that was important.

Deadlines are important because when you have deadlines to meet you have to use time management and you have to make sure the assignment is done and done on time. this simulates the real world because in the real world you have deadlines you have to meet, and if you don't meet those deadline bad things will happen. On a couple of instances in high school I have failed to meet he deadline for something. Although it is usually just a homework assignment I have also had a essay that I had to turn in late and that did not go well with the teacher. I had to turn it in late and get a deduction of points.

I think this quote means a lot and is very true in a lot of things. An example of a time in my life when this quote was the case was on some tests and quizzes. Some time I do not prepare sufficiently or at all for a test or quiz this can be very bad when it comes to how well you do on the quiz, on the other hand when I prepare well and do all I have to do i end up doing well on the test.

Over the weekend I didn't do anything big. I had a cross country meet on Saturday, we had to wake up at around 6 o'clock to get to the school then we took a bus down to Paola to where the meet was. The races started at 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, and 10:30. After the races there was the award ceremony where we got first place in the varsity race. After that I went home and did homework. On Sunday all I did was sleep and hang out with friends. That is what i did with my weekend.

Below is one of my favorite quotes that I found on Pinterest. Think read and think about what this says and then blog about it. What does this quote mean to you? Elaborate! Feel free to give an example of tell a story.

This quote says that you should never be bored, that because your alive in this big world you don't have the right to be bored. I should use this quote a lot in my life, I am always saying I am bored and sometimes all I do after that is lay around some more. This especially happens a lot to me over the summer, when I am not doing anything and I say I am bored. After that I usually lay around the rest of the day not doing anything exciting or productive. I could go hang out with friends, read, or do anything else with my time, but I choose not to which is something I need to change.

I don't do a lot of things that I need to be creative to do. I guess I can be creative with coming up with new places to eat or how I will get my homework done. At work I come up with creative ideas on how to get things done faster and easier. I also use creative ideas when doing a project for school that I have to think of an idea and use that to make something.

Over the weekend I did not do much. I ran with the cross country team, worked, and watched football. On Saturday I got up, ran, then went back to sleep. I woke up a few hours later and went to work. on Sunday I woke up, watched the chiefs game, finished my homework, and went to work. After work I came home and went to bed.

Kids these days are always on computers and their telephones chatting away about nonsense. when i was their age I was outside, know they are inside on their video games and T.Vs. when  I was their age I was talking to my friends and running around outside. All their doing is talking on their telephone and staying indoors.

I have learned a lot in this class so far. I have learned how to code with html, i have learned how to blog , and I have learned how to use Google drive to share and store files. I will want to learn more about how to create websites, and about how to make them look good. by the end of the semester I will want to be able to be able to code correctly and confidently, I also want to see all the other things we will do in web design.

Tell me all about your Labor Day weekend. What did you do? Include photos!

Over the Labor day weekend I did not do a lot. On Saturday I worked on homework and went to work. On Sunday I hung out with friends, got a hair cut and worked. On Monday I went to worlds of fun with my family, this was the most fun thing i did all weekend. It was especially fun because i hadn't been there in a while and had forgotten what it was like. When I went to Worlds of Fun I also rode the ripcord for the first time, that was pretty fun, I didn't think it was that scary until it dropped us for the first time When you first get dropped there is a second or two of free fall before the cord swings you around. that is the most fun part of the whole ride. After that it was still pretty cool and fun.

Read this small newspaper clipping and then write a blog post about it. What are your thoughts? How does it make you feel? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

After reading this newspaper article I agreed with some of it but not all. In the article is says that Teens should not expect things to just fall in to their lap, i agree with this. people should not just get everything in life handed to them, or it has negative affects on his or her personality. I think it goes a little far when it generalizes about teens and how they are not able to create fun for themselves.

Tell me if you agree with this statement and then explain why or why not. "Images on the internet are 'free game' - if someone posted it, I should be able to use it."

I agree with this statement that if someone posted it online anyone should be able to use it, but if someone decided to use it they should have to site the image. Other people cannot take credit for something someone else put up, but anyone should be able to use it. If the creator put it up on the internet, that a sure sign someone else is going to use it.

I am a Junior at Blue Valley this year. I am involved in the cross country and track teams. I also go to the environmental club and I was part of the band for my freshman and sophomore years. my favorite teacher this year so far is Mr. Branden. My favorite class so far is this class or my AVID class because those are easy. I am looking forward to cross country and hanging out with friends this year.

What do you know about Web Design right now? What did you know about Web Design before you walked in to this class? Tell me as much as you can about how web pages work. Try to use an example if possible.

I do not know much about web design right now, but i do know that we will doing a lot of code, like html and css.  we also will be designing websites and adding to our blogs. Before I was in web design I thought it was just designing web pages as the name states. I had no idea what html was or that we were going to use it. i do not know much about how web pages work but I do know that we use html to code the website and make it into a real thing. i also know that you use css to make the website appealing and more fancy.
